next to links to sexual social network sites that offer to "hook you up for the night" with 'Hot" women in your local area - grouped conveniently according to your postal zip code.

So the free porn clips are used to advertize the social network sites, where the Eastern European cam girls serve as a warm up to the local women with whom you can arrange "face to face" meetings. I don't think these "fuck buddy" sites are really about on-line social dating, but actually promote "dates" of a more commercial sort.

I've seen these links, should be fake bullshit generated after locating your isp, and using help of Google Earth or some similar product. For me, they are showing some tiny villages nearby, I'm quite sure there is no girls with English nicknames, or prostitutes LOL

Never followed these links, so I leave the honor to find out what it actually is to EB.

yes, once u register u get lot of spam after - the email data base is a source for advertising, so money and a big data base is sold pretty expensively.

Nah, this has nothing to do with registering or e-mail, guess they may pay for popups, as the last time I saw that was some political forum I was just reading, I was not even registered there lol - so, they should start from locating your isp address.

Btw, LJ has pop-up windows from sites what do not have any adult content as well.

yes, because they own some date sites, especially for advertising on them the cam business. CC has some too, and cumtv.

The ads are generated dynamically in relation to the IP address you're using when you access that site. The site "sees" your IP address, and dishes you what appears to be advertising for "local hookups". It's just marketing. And you can be sure someone's making money from it.

You were all correct. And I was wrong. Camgirl helped straighten out my naive confusion by directing me to this site.. which then lead to another board full of complaints against one of these Match-making scam sites.. The models are mostly from Eastern Europe and work for Steamate.

AmateurMatch Review

Amateur Match calls itself The Sexiest Adult Community. For my review of AmateurMatch.com I did the usual, I created a free dating profile for my basic free membership, so I could log on and do my review of features etc. Even before I created my membership I was always getting porn pop ups from StreamMate.com. As as I went to AmateurMatch.com, I got a pop up from Stream Mate for adult web cam shows. I thought I was trying to go to a dating site, so why am I getting porn pop ups?! That pissed me off, Im not even registered and I am already getting porn pop ups!

screen shot of StreamMate pop up from AmateurMatch.com

I registered, I got my email and I logged on, right away boom then already want me to pay even before I see what the site is about. I can already tell that Amateur Match is very aggressive with their marketing tactics, another turn off #2.
AmateurMatch.com Features

* Whos online - I checked who was online and no one near me was online and live in a city of over 2 million people. If I cant find anyone online with a population of 2 million then can a person in a city such as meet anyone? You need to be able to meet people or what is the point?
* Chat room - When I checked there were 52 members chatting (none from ), when I tried to actually get into the room I was redirected to the payment page.
* Live Cams - This is pay per minute, you chat live with web cam models who strip down and do whatever you want them to. Im looking for dating, not PORN!!!
* Featured Shows Here we go again with trying to up sell me to web cam shows for $3.99 per minute, not interested!
* Galleries - I clicked on the gallery page, then see a girl Im interested in, and then I click to see more pictures and sent to the payment page once again.
* Videos - Same deal, click on the video image then redirects me to the up sell page to get to buy a membership.
* Games - Lol, games?? These are sexual games, not video games. Some of the games include, Anal Invaders, Ass Blasters, Asstroids, Blox, Bust A Nut, Cock Gobbler and so on. Im really dont know what to say, but what does this have to do with adult dating? How is playing video games online going to help me hook up with hot local women?

I really dont have too much good to say about AmateurMatch, I mean its basically one big up sell to porn videos and $3.99/ minute web cam girls from WebCamClub.com.
Amateur Match Membership Prices

* Pay $69.95 for a 3 month membership which gives you 20% savings
* Pay $29.95 for a VIP monthly membership
* Pay $24.95 for a regular monthly membership
* They automatically enroll you in another one of their dating sites called BeeMatch.com for 3 day trail membership for $1.95. One problem, is that if you dont cancel the 3 day trial it renews into a monthly membership for about $30. SCAM

screen shot of AmatuerMatch home page screen shot of members area Honestly Amateur Match is garbage, its not even a real dating site. All AmateurMatch wants is your money they made that very clear to me. Stay away from them, far away! I did research and there are tons of people fuming about how this dating service operates. If you go to PissedConsumer.com, you can see all the negative feedback about AmateurMatch scams. Honestly, if you want a REAL dating service then use AdultFriendFinder, they have been in business much longer and they have millions of members so they must be doing something right. Start meeting local women in right now.

[...] I registered for a free basic account, and created my quick dating profile so I could do my review, and write this post. I noticed right off the bat that there are lots of banners to up sell you to sites such as Desperate-Wife.com, SexSearchcom.com, etc. Lots of sites have up sells to make more money from you, I just ignore them. It is common practice, however when you cant do anything because every link wants you to upgrade them it pisses me off, like the site called AmateurMatch.com. [...]

I tell them to go try AdultFriendFinder for FREE. Do you think AmateurMatch is not a scam? I registered on both sites and I can tell first hand how FAKE the profiles on AmateurMatch.com are. You can read tons of complaints about AmateurMatch.com dating scam here if you want. You can also type on Amateur Match complaints in Google and read all the bad reviews on there, there are tons!

I also did the same thing but then checked further into the situation and noted that alot of the emails were from women, fictional or real, that were supposedly sending the letters to get the person to become active on the website. Whenever I would do a search for women in my area, I only came up with two at the most, yet all these emails poured in. So if you are a non-paying member in particular of this website, check the email notification of a message you have received. When you click on the email to read it, check the bottom of the box that has the woman's profile name to see if they are really only a representative or not. I am a non-paying member of another site (mate1.com) that does the same thing. They call their representatives, online ambassadors. Be careful out there. It's a shame that they have to stoop so low and get your hopes up just to make some money.

Very similar Experience..

Became a memever, got tons of emails that I couls not read because I was not a member.. As soon as I paid, and and responded to the emails, I never heard back from any of them... And they are never on line...

I went from my profile getting several hits a night to getting zero for the first week after I paid!

Major Scam!!!

I suspected as much myself.... luckily I saved my money by being both suspicious and smart enough to scout ahead. Thanks for posting this and making it available to other potential victims.

YES I have been scammed as well.

Here is the key that will tip you off to scammers..

Look at their is name..If it says a verb then a name its a scam..ie....Lucious Lucy.....Sizzling Sarah..Those are the made up profiles..Be careful they are ALL scammers...And Mate1 is too...that guy has it.
2008-03-13 by Shadow [send email] +1 Votes

Same experience. When I got tens of seductive emails I noticed that they are so overwhelmingly artificial. So I added this to my profile: "If somebody likes to talk please send me some contact information because I don't know how to response!"

Anyways, this is how the world works. We should be careful about our packet!

After posting my profile on AmateurMatch I started receiving emails notifications of local women in my area. In a few months it added up to over a hundred beautiful women within 10 miles of my zip code. I figured if I sign up for a 3 day trial subscription, I should be able to connect to at least two of the women. I signed for the trial and began emailing everyone in my inbox. I spent over 4 hours writing to over 150 women in my area. The next day There was not even one reply. Also the daily emails I received when I was a non-paying member stopped. I tried to Instant Message them only to find out that when I clicked on their profile through the messenger it listed their location being in different states on the other side of the country. Not a single one was in my state.
I immediately called customer service and complained that the site was a fraud because I received hundreds of emails of women in my town and after I paid to write to them, I find out that not one of then was even in my state. I want my money refunded or I will contact authorities to close the site down immediately. The representative agreed to return my refund. I asked if he heard this complaint before. He told me I was the second complaint tonight. His name is Robert #5349 I called my local attorney and he recommenced me to contact the Attorney General Consumer Fraud Department.
Everyone please, if you experienced anything similar to this report it to the Attorney General Consumer Fraud Department
Lets close these fraud sites down and save a lot of us from this all this grief. Thank you for reading.

This site is a definite scam, i live is a small town in South Africa, i get mails from all sorts of hot women, even hispaniclatino... goodluck trying to find a latino in my town. The messages are also very generic and vague, they say they liked my profile but none of them actually posted anythig relevant to my profile. I also noticed a major culture difference between these women and the local women, which made me suspect that their profiles are fake.

I have had the same experience with Amateurmatch.com. Their goal is to sell memberships, porno videos and webcam pornos. They are clearly a scam from the gitgo folks. I had two friends join as free members with different ages/profiles. They got the same 'word-for-word' responses from the same 4 women. STEER CLEAR of this scam, fellas!

When is an autority gonna step in and do something about this scam it is stealing!!!
2008-04-03 by Jake Martin [send email] 0 Votes

Same thing happened to me although I called and received a refund and as soon as I cancelled I started receiving numerous emails daily again. In my profile I even posted my email address and stated that they needed to contact me thru this email because the site is not working. Either every woman on this site is stupid or the site is a fraud because not a single woman has contacted me thru this email but I have dozens of emails on the site.

The site is a scam! I have pages and pages of beautiful women emailing me all the time, they say they are close to me but their location is often hundreds of miles away. I did the same thing as others did, I posted contact info and requested the same, and not one woman either tried to contact me or left any contact info of their own. Liars every one! They aren't getting a dime out of me!

That's the scam business model that many Personals-based websites share...including AmateurMatch:

The profiles are pre-formulated, generic, and FAKE. They are sent out every couple of days from an automated mailer to all new accounts. Do a test: open a profile with a bunch of non-sensical B.S., no Pic, hell even say "f**k AmatuerMatch.com in your description. You're STILL going to get a bunch of attractive women contacting you just begging for your attention.

Of course once you join, they can't continue the dialouge because the contacts were fake and unless their criminal staff wants to sit behind a computer and pretend to be a female, the gig is up. You then begin to see that the website has approx. less than 10% of the actual REAL contacts it advertised, all who are bombarded with communication from the mass of males who far exceed the females.

It's all a scam. Try a legitimate dating service. eHarmony is supposed to be authentic.

amateurmatch is a complete scam. they send all the messages (who knows where the get the woman profiles from) and once you pay, the music stops.
It's probably just a guy in a dorm doing it...
Just avoid it.

Many major website use scam. I try amateurwatch.com but i never pay, and i never put my picture. I receive many email who tell me women want talk with me. Why the want talk with me, they cannot see my picture?

Some website have anti-scam system, like www.sexia.ca who i have put my picture (two day after my picture was validated by an admin), but this is a pay site. Now i use www.syl.com, a free general dating website. If anoyone know a good sex dating website without scam and free, give me the url please.
